Welcome to Rock Ridge Craft School – a dream begun in the week we purchased our farm in Little Sydney Valley in 2006. Come and learn how to transform fleece into fashion, how to use a traditional craft to make something someone will treasure.
Take time to enjoy life on a farm. At Rock Ridge we have sheep – white and coloured, and alpacas of various colours. Fleece and yarn are available for purchase. You will also see a range or hens wandering about and Harry the cat is sure to meet and greet. Or bring your own fleece to Rock Ridge Craft School and learn to sort, wash, dye, card, spin, knit, crochet or weave.
Come and enjoy time in our renovated shearing shed – time it right and there could be shearing or wool sorting to watch. A great place for children and parents or grandparents to relearn the traditional methods.
Don’t have space for a weaving loom but would love to have a go. Come and learn anyway. There are table looms, a variety of floor looms and a rug loom. Help is available to design and set up your project and then just sit there and weave.
